With a test light plugged into the plug boot and other side grounded, or jumper a wire onto the orange wire (i think thats the color that goes to the coil). then kick your heart out.
Also can ohm out the coil primary and secondary....
Probably a good way. I checked 2 coils useing an Ohm meter and they both tested bad when they were both good coils , so i dont know man. I know for a fact i aint the only one who has got the same bad results with a good coil.:-/

Im actually checking it on a moto 4. It will pull start very easy but when I try to electric start it wont start. I was reading in a forum that a guy had the same problem but put a new coil on it and doesn't have any problems now. so Thought Id see if it has a weak spark
