How can tell if my top end is some cheap amazon/ebay kit

I recently bought a 1998 blaster with a "fresh top end". It has a chinese carb and im assuming what is a chinese/ebay/amazon head that is silver, in my case ive always seen the oem blaster heads have a black coat on them mine is just silver and i have not been able to find this head anywhere online. Im assuming it was a quick fix and sell job but i dont know much and need some help diagnosing if the top end kit is just some cheap kit and if i should invest in better.

Hi, The silver head could be a Vito´s high compression head, check it in his web.

Watching your cylinder with no rubbers in the wings... I thing could be aftermarket, It´s easy to see in one side, let me go home at night and make 2 or 3 photos of the OEM sides.

Watching your photo I think the fuel switch it´s from aliexpress, this is important cause has much less reserve than the original, I use the chinese to rebuild my oem fuel switch to solve it.

thanks a lot. i gotta check when i get back to my blaster im sure this will be very useful. with the fuel shutoff is it a good or bad sign its from aliexpress . it’s got a chinese carb on it idk if the blaster comes with mikuni’s oem or not but if so idk why it would be replaced with a chinese carb. a lot of the chinese top and kits come with cheap rip off mikunis that’s my i’m assuming he bought one of those kits and just slapped it on. i seen the vito’s kit wishing that’s what was on it but i doubt he would’ve put all that money into it just to put that ripoff carb on it. it runs super lean with it and he had on the stock jets with the full pipe making it worse

Hi again, the chinesse fuel shutoff simply has less reserve liters, no more issues.
Check in the carb if the air screw it´s 1 and half turn, it´s oem position, and check if the air filter it´s oem and if have the cap and air tube, much people get the cap and tube out to catch more air and this makes the lean condition.
