honda quad oil problem

hey my buddys got a trx 250. recently his quad ran out of oil and his piston broke but he got it all fixed. He then got the quad home and everything ran fine. The problem is when he rides he will fill the oil up and it will be gone in only a day.This quad doesnt have any leaks and also when it gets to 5th gear its starts to loose power a little. (Kinda bogs). What could possibly be wrong.

im guessing trx 250ex?? 4 stroke?? if so its ether burning oil or leaking oil...

250r well.. the trans is the only part you 'fill the oil' on since its 2 stroke
