High Idleing

I have a 1991 Blaster, when I start it, it idles fine for a few minutes then reves up leaving me with no throttle control. I tried adjusting the carborator and that has not worked. Does anyone have any tips on fixing the problem?

Make sure your choke isnt stuck open.

or spray some carb cleaner around the carb and intake and check for leaks...

check to see if the throttle lever is staying stuck open just a little it might also be the choke staying open as posted above

mine does the same thing but it does it aalmost as soon as i start it. i noticed that my reeds werent sealing correctly, now idk if that would be the problem but that is my guess

I am still betting you need to spend more time adjusting the carb.

I took the carb off and noticed the silde was open, so I checked the throttle cable and found a crimp in the throttle cable. Thanks for the help...

Glad you found the problem man nothing like getting your quad running after its been down!!
