Hey easy question about my 2006 Blaster

lot of people with different preferences. I normall use bel-ray gear saver 80w. atm I have some 80w-90 gear oil from wally in my case and its working pretty good. I think the books recommends 10w-40, but I have had someone put it in my bike and the clutch slipped horribly, put the 80w back in and it held strong again.

I have always ran yamalube 10w-40 or 20w-50 which ever the dealership by my house has. I live in florida and it is hot as hell in the summer so I like the 20w-50 when I can find it. never had any clutch probs at all doesn't even slip on the pavement

save yourself some money and get some auto tranny fluid, type F only though. its only 3 bucks a quart and it works great. i change mine after about 2 or 3 good rides, or about 15 hours. at the price you can get it for you could change it every ride!
no more of that 10 bucks a quart for me

be very careful with this. i wouldnt recommend this. it better be a type with no anti-friction additives or your destroying your clutch.

only use proper fluids ment for a "wet clutch"

i use bel-ray gear saver 80w90. you can just use the proper yamalube 10w30 as well. if you notice small changes, you may feel the 10w30 is peppier because its alot thinner.

common mistake with 80w90 is people think they dont have to change it as often because its a beefier oil, totaly untrue. change it the same so because you'll always get the same amount of contaminants in the oil.
