ok i just got a 95 blaster and i put it in first two just get a feel for it for a min then went to shift to second and it didnt shift then i tried and tried again then i went for neutral and it stayed in first whats wrong i wanna ride this bad boy somebody said it was the syncronizers but idk please help fast:(
 
You have to check your clutch adjustment. Take your clutch cable off and make sure the clutch arm on the motor lines up with the mark under the carb. Check your oil level to.
 
There are no syncros in a motorcycle/atv/quad trans. Never listen to who said that again. Several possibilities. Shift claw jumped, or out of adjustment, worn, bad spring, or shift star came loose. Get a Clymers or download a manual and fix it
 
you could take apert the left side crankcase and check the shift drum and shift forks and check for bent shift forks or damaged drum this can effect the shifting in the way you are describing if you aregoing to do this id get a manual for the bike to help with the repairs
 
it's probably the shift drum a local mechanic at your powersports store can fix it pretty fast you'd have it back within the week granted you dont have to replace anything.
