help :(

got my quad to start and run from a total rebuild tranny and everything it runs catches 1st 2nd 3rd but then 4th it wont move 5th and 6 work to when the bike is off and i shift into 4th it engages like all the other gears please help

sorry i wasnt trying to be, if you had someone else put it together tell them to fix it. if you did it yourself, take it appart and try it again. only other thing to do would be to take it to someone and let them look at it if you did it yourself. i doubt anyone can tell you over the forum how to put together a tranny. input

actually I wouldn't put it past some of the guys on here, haha. But tbh it sound like you may have to pull it apart again, may have something misaligned when you put it back together.

did you rebuild with new parts? if not then id say that its a bent shift fork, or the shift star or shirt drum could be bad.

yeah i got new shift forks but if it was a shift fork wouldnt it not get 2 gears cus each shift fork shifts 2 2 gears?

also the part on that lies on the shift star that turns it could that be on wrong or bent or????

yeah that's a possibility, its hard to tell for sure, there's a lot of parts and they all have to work accordingly

did you get all of the forks in the correct locations? and are they all in the drum correctly? mine has been pretty finicky as well, but i'm pretty sure mine has a bent shift fork in it. another thing to check is for play where the shift star attaches to the shift drum, that should be tight

update: go it to get into forth gear and all is good got to wait tell friday to ride it parts will be there and hope i can go break it in this weekend if everything works as planed thanks everyone who has helped seince day one lol
