ok, i got a harness and cdi box and now have good spark. i cleaned out the carb and got the overflows to stop leaking, still cant get it to start. new rings and compression feels good, but im gonna do a compression test on friday night...i turned on the fuel and kicked it about 15 times....pulled plug out and it wasnt full of fuel like i expected....i pulled off the carb and its was soaked with fuel like i thought it would be and also pulled reeds off and they were also wet....why is the plug not wet????? problem with reeds maybe???
please suggest

You said your carb was leaking. Your float level might be off measure, did you set the float height? Spray some either on the plug or down the carb and if it fires you have a fuel issue. If it still dont fire and you say spark is good, then reeds probably. Are the reeds sitting flat on the cage? Are you rinning premix or injection? The reeds could just be wet with oil if your doing injection.

yeah i got rid of the tors and oil injection before it gave me any trouble. but i would say check the reeds, see if there is any damage or anything, and if they are seating on the cage right.

i agree check your reeds there the only thing between the carb and the cylinder maybe a bad gasket on the reeds is causing an air leak

after i took the carb apart and took the float out and put it back together it seemed to stop leaking....
