I have a 98 blaster little mods. Trying to figure out what jet and pilot jet to run. Stock carb. I have a fmf gold series with silencer carbon fiber reeds and k&n intake. With a fresh top end. Thanks. And what should the head tempature be if running the correct air fuel?

i'm running a 280 main with stock pilot
no air box lid
k&n filter

your welcome and i ride in creeks and mud as well and havent had many problems with much water or mud

Ok cool. I am running a 250 and stock pilot I knew it was way lean. But I have to run a lid cuz where I ride there's lots of mud and a couple creeks. Thanks for the advice.

You should have at least a #260 in there a #270 if you premix.

Be warned if you dunk the jug do not fang it until you get a little temp back in it.

Ok I have a 290 jet. Can run that and just run the air fuel screw in. And I do pre mix.

whaaaaat ?
you do not compensate a rich main jet by leaning out the pilot or any other circuts.

start at the bottom and work up:

start with adjusting/checking the floats.......

the stock 32.5 main will be just fine, adjust it properly......

stock needle on the middle clip will also be fine

plug chop for the main jet.........

Did a leak down test. And my bottom cylinder gasket was blown out on one side. Motor didn't even hold a quarter pound of pressure. New gasket kit on the way along with rings. Then She should be rippin in no time.
