First things first. Blasterforum.com as well as myself are not responsible if you mess up yourself, your quad, or anyone/anything else. Im not a mechanic just someone that thinks he knows it all :) Do this at your own risk.

The TORS stands for Throttle Override System. The idea is that fuel flow to the carb will be shut off if the carb is stuck open. Then problem is it doesnt work and causes more problems than it is worth.

This is probably a 2 beer job. All you need is a philips screwdriver and something to cut wire with.

1. Remove your front plastic and unplug the TORS "brain". It is circled in red

2. This wire comes off of your carb and is part of your TORS. Disconnect it or cut it off at the carb, or both.

3. Next either cut this wire or take the 3 screw out of the top of the throttle box and take the switch out of the middle. Its only 4 screws so it should be easier to figure out. Once again circled in red

4. Disconnect the other end of the wire you just disconnected in picture 3.

i think you need the tors elim kit. cause he has a 05 the tors are a little diff then the older ones. i would eliminate the parking brake sensor also.

yeah, 03+ the TORS is built into the cdi. They also have an extra step and getting rid of that box (to clean things up)will take a TORS elim kit to provide a new carb top and idle screw.

But before you even worry about that, to make it run:

1. Unplug the wires from the carb box to the harness. (It sounds like you might have done this already, hence the prob)

2. Unplug the throttle switch (connection is under the hood)

3. Cut the plug off your throttle switch, leaving about two inches (from the plug).

4. Connect the two wires together (solder, wirenut, tape, you choose) and plug the connector back in.

5. As for the E-brake switch, follow it down from the clutch handle and unplug that too.

Thats, really all there is to it. You can remove the TORS box and/or the ebrake as you want. The important thing is to not let them F--- with you.

Ok, (*raises hand*) I have a question: I tried to unplug my parking brake sensor on the left handlebar and it did not work. Basically, I pulled that wire out, the end of it looks similar to a microphone jack. It idled good, but when I revved it up, it acted as if the parking brake was still activated, although it was not. Is there a way to just eliminate the sensor, but keep the parking brake? I can take a picture of the above mentioned wire I unplugged if needed.

WHAT? how can it be fuel there is no pump, the Govt. said you need an interuptor in the system, so there is a switch in the thumb and a switch on the top of the carb if they do not work in tandem the circuit is grounded and no spark but fuel will continue to draw in the motor, this is to eliminate a wide open throttle slide when the thumb is not depressed.

hey uys i was wndering if i can cu those wires that use to be for my oil tank and brake light and cut the shoeter and just shrink wrap them so the arnt hanging alll over
