In the middle of a rebuild, and can't get the flywheel off. Used the puller, and out came the treads. Tapped the holes and out came the threads. Am I missing something? Center nut is off. Almost like it's welded to the crank. The flywheel doesn't even bend or twist while pulling on it.

Is washer out too?

Puller or flywheel threads bad? You have to back center bolt almost all the way out before threading it on.
Worst case would be weld puller to flywheel, cause if you beat on it or use a jaw puller it's junk also.

there is a washer on the shaft inside the flywheel, I would say its about a 1/4" thick. If you dont get that out, there are not enough threads to attach to!

And what u mean two holes flywheel puller goes on the middle . And if the middle is striped run wire in one hole and out the other then pull that side of the engine up and hit the crank with a piece of wood against using hammer. But u can only do this if engine is out just did it last week
