Got my blaster out after a long winter beign stored.... wouldnt start... Took the Carb off cleaned it up, then Installed it back on wrong.... The throttle wouldn't work ... figured out I installled the carb wrong, got it working. Had it running, and it felt reallllllllly sluggish so I jsut ran it awhile...

Whenever I got in 5th or 6th gear at higher RPMS and let off the throttle it died....

Tightened the pilot on it and it ran really well till i got it into 6th gear ... I let off the throttle a bit, and it died and I had to push it back home =/

So now I'm tired, and aggravated.... I think it's the Pilot but I really don't know how to adjust it.... My first time messing with the engine on my own...

Any Ideas?? or help would be apperciated

Okay readjusted the Jet or maybe it called the pilot..... Its the thing on the carb with the a spring on it....... I have no clue what your talking about above sir =)...

It runs great in gears 1-2 now.... shift into 3 and it sounds like theres a weedeater in my engine.... mayb I loosened it too much.

Spark plug? Thats not an issue its sparkign great... it's somethign to do with the Carb.... because it ran perfect before.... jsut wouldn't start.... now it starts ... and runs all messed up .... so I dunno how to adjsut the pilot i'm like 99.5% sure thats the issue

well, your deff wrong on that, you cant adjust the pilot at all, only by putting a diffrent one in... if you never changed it then its not the problem. start with simple stuff first like the plug. and unhook the tors that is also a simple and common problem.

and to top it off, fuel only uses the pilot from idle to 1/4 throttle, and you said its messing up when your in a high gear...

Well... I really don't know what those thigns are to be honest....... Kinda engine dumb... I jsut know that changing the pilto jet chagnes how it's running at the moment.........

I had a problem with the throttle when I reinstalled the carb, I fixed that... I had the spring thingy loaded in wrong..... is it possible that could still be the issue? maybe the top of the carb is screwed on to tight or not tight enough??

dont think thats it, did you look at the air filter and make sure its not clogged or have a mouse nest in it? also the screw on the carb should be around 1.5-2.5 turns out from all the way in, that could be the culprit btw its the air/fuel adjustment screw

Where can I find the tors and what do I need to do to it? Whats it look like?

Just ran it again... got it to 6th and it died on me..... takes awhile after that for it to start again.... ran it home in 4th with no problem.

PROBLEM = SOLVED

I am a retard = the problem... I put the carb on and tak it back off.. then put it on again..... when I put it on the second time I didn't attach a hose to the backside... which I believes delivers Oil to the carb.... so... basically I ALMOSt killed the Blaster.....

But I attached it... ran it good.... now.... I'm going to Ride =)
