Hey, I'm new to this site. I'm gonna start off by asking a question I'm sure many of you can answer. Should I get a blaster? I've found a 1999 in great shape with a new crank and piston, and I can get a good deal. I'm about 5'8" and 130 lbs. Would it be a good fit? Also, I'm coming from a 95' yz80 so what would the power difference be?
One final question, I've driven an lt250(4 stroke suzuki quad) and I was wondering if a blaster will beat it(stock for stock).

a blasty would destroy an lt250, we used to have one.
i actully had a 92 yz80 before i got my blaster and i can tell you right now the blaster is wayyy more fun and quicker

Hey welcome to the forum, Ya i would say go for it 5"8' is like perfect for a blasty. im 6"1' and i still ride mine. As far as the power goes they move pretty well and youll be happy with it. And stock for stock i think the blaster would win. Again welcome m8!

thank for the info, my friend has an lt250 >. I was afraid of getting a blaster because I thought my yz80 would be faster, but then again I stopped dirt biking because atvs are so much funner, despite the speed.

I live near Kentville/New Minas, it's about an hour west of Halifax. I don't think the weathers that bad, as long as it's not raining.

Me too. I grew up riding dirt bikes but I rode utility atv`s every now and then and they werent near as fun as a dirt bike. I rode a friends YFZ450 and have been hooked on atv`s ever since. GET THE BLASTER, you`ll love it! They have a ton more low end power than the YZ80/85 also.
