hello. finally got a blaster

the options are endless. port and polish, 240 kit, larger carb, v-force reeds, sprocket change. stroker crank, check out other threads for more ideas. talk to FLOTEK about a good port and polish. still outrunning a 400ex will still be work.

thread 100000001 about this topic......

you will NEVER be able to easily outrun a 400ex with a blaster. it will take you quite a bit of money and riding skill to do so. a half way decent rider on a 400ex will eat up a blaster no matter where you are. i own both and the 400 will definately spank the sh*t out of my blaster.

im not saying its impossible, but with the right amount of $$$ you can make a good bit of power and run with it pretty easily. a 240 big bore kit is a must have if you want to outrun a 400ex. as mentioned above, the pipe, porting and intake modifications are a must have as well. if theres anyone that tells you their blaster will outrun a 400ex on stock bore and stroke they are smoking crack.

and then theres the big bore kit for the 400ex. if theirs is modded as well, forget about it

when mine gets done ill shot a video of it desroying a 400ex. mine is stock bore and stroke and should make about 45-50 hp when done

you can call the builder hes building mine exactly like his. on his dyno his made 47 hp stoke bore stock stroke and i said the same thing bullshit he pulled the topend off and measured the bore and the stroke, 66x57 the guy has had 30 total blasters, it 200s, and dt200s so he knows his sh*t.

but i can say this im running alcohol and 200# of compression, a pvl ignition. his has a +8 swinger and with me on it siting on the tank it will wheelie thru 2nd. i wiegh 160 pounds. i will take a vid when its done to show you . you do know your stuff though i have read alot of your posts

im just talking from experience. if you can get an alcohol burner to run that much compression and not blow a seal then i can see how it could be possible. but VERY difficult.

i have seen WAY too many claims of 60hp put on a dyno and end up in the 30's at max. by no means am i calling you a liar, but i would love to see actual proof of it from a dynojet. im a seeing is believing kinda guy, and videos of someone riding an ATV doesnt do anything to prove HP.

i agree completely but the closest dyno to me is 4 hours away and its very stinjie. my boys 450r makes 78 on the dyno from moto madness, we brouhgt it to the guy in baton rouge and his said it only made 54 . all the parts were installed at ct and the bike was dynoed there and it made 74.32 on theres i will find a good dyno and get a sheet for yall . itll be about a month

all dyno's are diffrent. the only ones that i trust are dynojet brand. in the sportbike world we get dyno's that are WAYYYY optimistic. it all depends on the tuner and if he really knows what he is doing. even something as little as placing the exhaust sniffer in the wrong spot can give you a diffrent reading. outside temperature, humidity, and engine temp also make a big diffrence.

o most definitley ill only run my bikes on dynojet brand. my zx10r hasent been on a dyno yet cause i cant find a dyno jet one.

idk guys, my blaster had a pipe, reeds, 30mm carb, and mild porting, and it could run, on an mx track, with 450s, it was fast, not as fast as my 450, but fast, it outdragged my buddys z400 pretty easy
