Ok here it is im hearing a tapping coming from the engine i change the reeds thinking i broke one and got some high performance one's and started it up and man it was the best ride of my life but still hearing the tapping and change the spark plug and still tapping some one told me maybe bad gas or the oil mix is off or old oil any idea but the bike is running like never before the reeds really made it way faster it was fast before now its really fast but the tapping is driving me crazy if it was the piston or rings it would run right right any ideas thanks

My guess is the head bolts , check the torque and studs , believe it 25ft lbs , my guess is if you've ever had a 2 stoke that , you know what they sound like and it's off means it's off

I was going to ask a question about motor noise, I have had many 2-stroke bikes,
but these do seem to be noisey in engine, I guess its normal on the blasters?

ok it could be just the 2 stroke but it just started making the noise last weekend could it be i have a small leak in top end gasket??

Get a engine stephoscope and you can pinpoint noises in the motor. THat will help you determine whether or not it's normal or getting ready to be a failure.

Most likely it is piston slap.Blaster motors are known to make a little "tapping" noise.I sold one blasty to a buddy and that thing has been tapping for 2 years.lol

Ok got some updates news i tore out the top end and where they spark plug goes there is carbon build up but on half there is new shinny metal so it so hitting it straigt the piston looks great the jug looks great the rod looks good i think i may have bent the core crankshaft but any ideas with the new info thanks again

I put it back together after cleaning the top end really good and its still tapping there is nothing that looks messed up in the topend do you think i could of bent the core crank it only tapps when idles but runs the best it has ever ran sence i got the thing any ideas

dude ino this sounds stupid but put a long wooden shick(brush handle) to the engine.... point and touch it at the bottom end and listen at the other end of the stick.... you can hear what goin on inside...then the top end..... then you might be able to find out what part of the engine it coming from and might lead to a solution I:I

I normaly use a screw driver, put it against my ear and close the other ear and than listen,

you could have bad crank bearings or you could have play on your ristpin
