Healthy Competition

I apologize for the way this thread has progressed. It is entirely my fault! All I can say is that I've been a little under the weather, coupled with a bad day and boom.... Mr. Hide comes out! I would like to reword my opening to this tread and ask for your understanding.

It has come to my attention that Kennedy Powersports continues to be bashed without cause by some of the community. It is a shame that this type of unfounded and unwarranted disparaging remarks continues. We at Kennedy Powersports believe in healthy competition, and in any competitive event there will always be winners and losers. We may not come in first, we might even come in last, but that's not important! Whats important is that we tried our best, treated people with respect and will focus on doing better next time! Our mission at Kennedy Powersports is to be available to answer your questions honestly, recommend the right hardware upgrades and when required perform modifications accurately. We are firm believers in proper testing of parts, mods, and packages to insure that you’re getting what you've paid for. We would like to propose to those in the community that are bashing Kennedy Powersports a healthy competition! We would be happy to invite you to our shop any time and bring your stuff. In the spirit of comradely, there will be no cost to you. We will run your stuff and ours, and let the numbers talk for themselves. Kennedy Powersports will provide a fun and non-confrontational environment for the competition; we'll even spring for food. Our business is based on friends and having fun, and would like to become your friend! Let us know what you think.
Best Regards,

so much f*ckin drama, let the builders hatch it out, they don't need anyone else telling them what to do, if pitboss felt he was being called out he would of posted and backed up his facts and his equipment and got into the conversation, leave well enough alone CHILDREN and let the people involved deal with it.

There are only so many ways to do a motor anyway and everybody adds their own touches. everybody wants something diff weather it be trails, racing, drag etc. everybody has diff aftermarket parts(tires, clutches, sprockets etc), rides diff, shifts diff, lives in different areas(sea level) which depends on how your motor is setup and how it runs for you and only you in your area. then it comes down to parts wearing,dents/carbon in exhaust, outside temp etc. that effect your performance compared to johnny down the block.

we have one of Kennedy's drag ported stock topends on one of our Blasters. It is dead on as fast as our CT racing engines with drag porting done. Angus
dynoed this topend and tweeked the port job so that it has torque across
the RPM range. Therefore it runs consistant 5.50 in 300ft bracket race, with
a 200lb jockey, onpump gas. Thats 44hp on gas and it dynoed 52hp on meth. That's prooven power w/a stock jug & head!! Tomarrow I'm sending Angus one of my extraCT topends to cut some power into it. Do it to it Angus, lets make this thing carry my 250 lb. a$$ into the 4's!!!!

You are absolutely right! The difference comes down to the details of the combination, the package as a whole. The parts an engine builder uses and modifies must compliment each other and work together. My hats off to Kennedy for admitting to making a mistake in this thread! I've had my bad days, I'm sure all of you have to! It takes a big man to accept responsibility and apologize. I must say.... I'm impressed!

Im just saying... We can all agree that you are calling Pittboss out! If I were making the claims I would have least bought their setup and tested it out for myself before I started making accusations.

there are several reasons for this. there have been other forums where people have said that there is no way that a $250.00 port and head job can not produce power. if you dont think its true there are members on this forum that will tell you it is. It happened to 2 of our builders on a different blaster forum.

how can kennedy justify buying their set up? the arisal kits cost alot of money. far more than a port job from any of our builders.

i think the other thing he is trying to get out of this is to see where they are getting the power numbers they are posting. we know that Kennedy is always posting his numbers he gets, and FLOTEK has posted numbers on his web site.

im not trying to pick a fight so dont bash me, and i dont think angus is trying a bash anyone. he just wants to seem them back up the power numbers they claim.

Its totally fine to see some numbers but i believe it should have been left pm's or him simply calling their shop and asking. But since he posted here, you can agree that it read as if he were calling him out.

After this post Im done commenting, but if their was to be a motor shoot out that would be great, whichever builder may gain a few new customers, if not no sweat off of 85% percent of riders on here that do not have the money to spend on this stuff.

i dont know jack squat about any of the builders on here, but say "amen" to kennedy for telling his side of this, and the freindly invite to a competition, i have still yet to see anyone on here say they had a negative experience with kennedy

i think this also should have been left to pm's or a phone call

also not to start any chit here but, why is everyone so concerned about dyno readings
unless the bike thats being shown on the dyno is yours, its merely a simple guide to "roughly" how much power it could put out on your blaster. no two engines are the same so how can u base your hp to a completely different motor setup than your own
i would find somewhere that does dynos and pay the money, and find out for yourself what kinda power shes putting out

One thing i would like to add also is not all dyno's are the same either. one dyno can show having more hp while another less. It would have to be on the same machine/dyno with the same parts added besides motor work or the numbers don't mean nothing.
