they got the idea from ktm. the idea is to take all the best sh*t like shocks good motorwork platform and all around good setup. right out the shop. KTM 450, 525, 505(all quads) are THE NASTIEST and THE FASTEST out of the factory. thats y their prices are so high.
Polaris has been putting Fox shocks on different quads for a while... The shocks that come on the 450's are just a basic shock that really isn't any better then any stock shock on the Yamaha or Hondas. They are just like any other stock shock, it you want really good performance out of them you will have to send them to get resprung and reworked for your riding style. As far as the motor goes, it is a KTM motor just without the power. I think Polaris uses a different head and intake that makes it produce less power then the REAL KTM 450. Also parts and doing work on a KTM is a pain in the ASS.
ya didnt they already have Podiums on the front, i heard they still werent any better than other stock ones. still sprung and valved for a stock ''all around performance'' setting. still have to send them out to get them reworked for your riding... i would never buy a GAYTM, but that is convenient to be able to buy a track ready quad...but whats the fun in that? id rather build a track ready quad...
