I have a 2001 Blaster with FMF SST/Turbinecore II, K&N, lid removed, bored .080 over. The idle likes to hang slightly (it takes a few secs to come down) - it is almost lazy to return to idle. It has 32.5 pilots and 320 mains. I am at 4200 ft elev. I have checked for air leaks. The idle does not seem to be affected by the air screw. I don't know what clip setting it is at, or how to adjust them. I see reference to third clip. Is this third from the top, or bottom? Thanks for any help.

a vid would realllllly help....... sounds like an airleak even though you have checked for them..... go up on the pilot and see what happens.... also, dont forget about the airscrew... turn that thing 1 1/2 turns right
with your mods you shouldnt have to go up on pilot, and if the airscrew isnt doing much you may have some dirt in that circut, turning the airscrew in should fix the problem, give it a tear down and good cleaning, your running lean when it hangs
The needle can be used for fine tuning, there are 5 slots total, 3rd being the middle when you find out which slot you are in, move it 1 slot richer (down)...so more mixture enters the intake....
It was on the 2nd slot. I moved it to the middle slot. It is still lazy to get back down to idle, but now it is boggy off idle, and will stall if you let it idle w/o touching the throttle.
im having same problem idles fine but when u hit the gas it hangs at a high idle for about 15 seconds even turn air screw all the way to the right still does it ??????
take the carb off and clean it..if that dont work check for air leaks and if none..just put a bigger pilot in it
if your air screw isn't doin anything that means your pilot is to far off to allow that circuit to function, change your pilot, how did you go about looking for an air leak?
