Agreed on the brutal to read.

However I think you mean Polaris WAS sh*t. Now that KTm is making there sport quad engines, instead of Rotax, they make killer power all through the range and are reliable as a motherfucker.

A KTM 525 and Outlaw 525 will stomp the living sh*t out of everything, including the Raptor 700 and Honduh 700XX.

The KTM and Polaris 450's currently are ruling the races with Suzuki Keeping in tight with them as well as Can Am. So Yamaha is not the best of the best, sorry.

hahaha sory pal your wrong, go get the new dirtwheels mag,here ar ethe top speed: Polaris outlaw 74.1 mph with 20 inch rear tires and the yfz450 with stock tires 78.8 mph, yea yamaha the best and in the end of shoot out, at sheer performance the yfz450 ends up 2nd while polaris is 4th. And for the average rider and budget the yfz450 is 2nd only becuz the honda is cheaper and the poalris ended up 4th again. Overall the yfz450 was decided the best. so yeah poalris still is da sh*t..... remember i respect your opinion just giving mine with facts and a little cockiness lolI:I
 
One thing you will learn to realize about Dirtwheels is they are very bias towards Yamaha. No matter what the Yamaha is always better. Read other publications and you will find this is not true. The best bang for the buck 450 is the LTR450. The Yamaha is second. Honda doesnt even belong with them as far as I'm concerned cause my KFX400 beats up on 450R's all day long with no problem. The Honduhs are junk. However you have not corrected me at anything. Ktm is still the best of the best when it comes to High Performance 4 strokes. KTM has also made some oh-so f*ckin killer 2 strokes as well. The 300EXC comes to mind.

Oh and another Thing. I just realized Polaris doesnt race. So I proved myself wrong there. I forget that for sales reasons the Polaris 450's and 525's are slightly de-tuned versus the KTM counterparts. The problem for Polaris is they always design their airboxes very poorly.
 
^^^^ i still stand with yamaha BUT i never said KTM sucked,i agree with you they are da best outher BUT for the price,its way too much,you could get a new yfz450 and put it wway but waaay better than a brand new ktm.

You will never build a Yamaha, or Suzuki, or Kawi, or Anything BETTER than a KTM. Its truly impossible. By the time you were done being even close to achieving the impossible you will be well ever what a new KTM costs and still only halfway there.
 
i doubt a new stock KTM will beat a big bore stroker yfz 450 still running under the price of a new stock KTM and how come the yfz450 as the fastest of em all?? answer that

A whole lot of motor is nothing without a suspension that can compliment it. The price difference is only $3500. AFter you get that much invested in a BB Stroker you will have alot of motor. But still at the track the KTM will rule. With KTM you not only pay for a name but you pay for a tried and true setup. Many Many MANY hours of R&D go into designing and building the best in the world. Tell me why Yamaha had to redesign just to keep up as where KTM is still leading the industry?

We can argue about this all night but all its going to boil down to is YOUR OPINION is that Yamaha is the best of the best.

My Opinion is I love Suzuki's, as well as KTMS. If I had the money, I would have a KTM. However I ride a Suzuki.
