i think im just gonna paint the ones i got and save 500 bucks and put that towards plastics or rims and tires paint can always be REpainted when it needs to be and the epoxy sounds like its pretty durable

well if you use the epoxy paint/ roll bar chassie paint there is no need to prime them, and one can of each wil do the a arms and then some, one can did the rear rims on my 200x, and the front forks.... and 3 wheels on my old truck
alright then im definatly doing that. now my next question is what is the best size for a swingarm? 3 inches 4 inches 6 or 8? which is the best for trail riding? im thinking 4 inch? i think 6 will be to much maybe?
+3 or +4 for trail use, anything longer is pretty much for drags and hill climbs only, as it makes your turning radius wider, basicly like compariong a geo turn radius to a school bus lol...

You know the answer grasshopper.... what are the adavantages and disadvantages of a short swingarm?? what does a longer swingarm do differently than a short one?? When you can answer these questions, you will realize the answer to your question.
Pesonally, Id rather spend my money for a bike that handled good and looked like dogshit than have a pretty bike that handled bad.
yep i know the answer 4inch is the way to go and i can get it off ebay new and powder coated black for 240 shipped and i have to use my axle carrier wich is fine
got one more question. will a banshee hub fit on a blaster axle? so i can put 9inch rear rims on the bike. or will thye not work and will that look stupid. also can you remove the coils off the shocks without damaging the shocks? in other works can oyu take the white things off my shcoks so they can be powder coated? or do the shocks have to stay as one? cause i was gonna take the springs off and have them done the color of the bike is this possible?
great! now i can get some 9 inch rims for the back. now the question i need answered is can you remove the srping from the front shocks and have them podwer coated then reinstall with out damaging the shocks or spirngs?
You can get whatever size rims you want with a blaster bolt pattern. If there not listed, douglas will build them for you.
well got it almost all stripped down still need to take a few things off.i got a question though before it goes to the podwer coaters is there any brackets that you dont need after mods are done? or do all brackets stay were there supposed to be? i was looking at a few and they just dont look like they should be there but im gonna leave them alone just because you never know. but here it is
if you are getting rid of the oil injection then you cut all of the brackets for that tank off. what kind of front fenders will you be running? or how far are you going to trim the stockers back? you may be able to eliminate the brackets for the lower front fender support.
it hasnt had oil injection since my friend got it so no i will not be running that. but what brackets are they? and i dont plan to cut the fenders at all i like the look of all the fenders there and not cut. but i would really appricate if you could post pics of the brackets the need to be removed (the ones that held the oil injection on) thanks a bunch
finished stripping the bike and rewleded a few broke welds. somtime next week it should go off the the powder coaters along with some other parts to be done monster enegry green. then im buying the +4 swing arm and when that gets here i can finish up the suspention and get all the swing arm and front end back together then its rims and tires and plastics.
i would just save a few bucks and get yb to extend for u.
