what up hows everyone im new to this but i just got a blaster from a friend that had been sitting for like 4 years and i did almost everything to it new piston, new clutch cable, new crankcase gasket, new top end, and freshly rebuilt carb but still can't seem to get it running... i dont think im getting spark but not sure how to check for it if anyone could help me out id appreciate it

take the plug out hold it against the head and kick the bike while looking for spark

welcome to the site, it's a great place with a lot of info. as for your plug when i check mine i just take it out of the engine, plug it back into the plug wire, hold the tip against the frame of the quad while kicking it over.

well if thats the case Im definitely not getting spark... thanks for the help guys! now i just gotta figure out how to get the spark back lol

Search the forum for "How to remove TORS" and also make sure you have good compression.

welcome to the forum and check your spark plug coil, try a new plug also before replaceing the coil. good luck

hey man what part of minnesota u from jw
i had the same problem after a rebuild.. i didnt have the coil bolted down tight enough to get a ground. and chec all the wiring over.. hope i helped a wee bit
