So I bought a 1994 Blaster the other day and im looking to fix it up and sell it (unless i put too much money into it then i'll keep it) but i bought it for 200. So what are some good mods (this is my first 2 stroke) its stock guy said the owner before him "claims" to have put an aftermarket piston in it. I just bought an FMF Fatty Pipe w/ Core 2 silencer. So what else should i be looking at getting to make it faster and more marketable? Thanks alot

Read up on jetting to make sure it's jetted rite and be able to rejet after mod's. You can go with no air box lid and a aftermarket air filter. Reeds are nice. 14 tooth front sproket for higher top speed. It depends on how much your looking to spend. I just gave you some cheap upgrades.
just some nice, effective upgrades would be aftermarket exhaust(fmf is good), uni air filter with airbox lid off, and some aftermarket reeds(boyseen makes some great reeds). Of course the carb will have to be rejetted for the new exhaust, filter, and removed lid.
A slightly bigger carb could be nice to if your willing to spend it. The stock 26mm can be kinda small, even when adding an exhaust. A 28mm is a good upgrade, and maybe even a 30mm if picked up for the right price.

so get a 28mm carb for the bike that has exhaust and probably getting the vf3 reeds? i shouldn't need a 30 if im not doing p&p or shaving the head. take of the lids and get aftermarket air filter....
That's a good start. You will have to rejet for the lid and filter if your sticky with the stock carb. If you upgrade your carb, you will have to jet it correctly to.
right, is there any bad carb to stay away from? was looking at the keihin carbs. is there a suggested place that sells cheap parts or just check around ebay and google? ive never bought DynoJet jets but i have heard alot about them so pipe,carb,reeds,air flter,remove lid, and dynojet jets and should be pretty good to go?
get a pwk 28, but stock carbs are good up to like 25hp stock is only 16hp, then youll start to notice the carb is to small.
but if you plan to do any big upgrades in the furture get a pwk 28.
I think its unnecessary, you wont notice a difference over boyseen reeds on stock cages.

You will notice a slightly more defined throttle response with the a/f reeds over stock. And for jets, i would recommend this site. Jets R Us
They will let you order individual parts and jets for whatever carb you have. Just get the aftermarket parts you want and post a list of them with the carb your running and ask for ballpark jetting with these modds. Someone will tell you this jet # between this # will get you started, now you just have to tune them in.
