It might take a little bit of elbow grease..but its attainable.
A scotch brite pad, and some aluminum foil will get it back to looking pretty good.
Someone did do a nice job on those..

Can't imagine what it would take to polish a head like that, but I wouldn't trade my FAT BASTARD for those parts.
