Going to check out a 86 tecate tomorrow

Well I went to the local watering hole tonite and my buddy was asking me if I knew anyone lolling to buy his streetbike and his 2000 YZ125. Then he mentioned he had a trike and I saidwhat kind a 200s or something and he foes a Tecate 250. I said how much for the Tecate he said 300.00. I said I'll take alook tomorrow. He said it ran before he put in storage, but had carb problems. So I am taking a look tomorrow and if I like what I see I will be comming home with the Tecate. I will post pics when I look at it.

nice..... chances are the frame wil lbe cracked, they were known for it, .... also if you guy it, order up a flywheel key right away, they were known for that also... but beyond that there fast and fun

If it really is an '86, for $300 at pretty much any condition is a good deal. Running or not. '86's are pretty damn rare and worth a bit of coin to the right person. Be aware though, parts are hard to come by for the '86-'87 models, they are out there, but you have to search them out. luckily, plastics are still available for them.
