I have one and love it, check out my vids in the pic/vid section.

truth be told the HD is the way to go but if thats not in your budget the SD is cool.
you can get the HD hero 960 for $179
The downside to the SD other then the quality is they eat batteries like crazy. For a day of riding I have 8 Nimh charged and ready to go, I usually change then 2-3 times a day. The HD hero has a battery pack that lasts a lot longer. The HD also allows for bigger card storage. With my SD I take a spare 2g card with me on weekend trips.

Can you buy a rechargeable battery pack for the sd or is it only for the hd?

No just the HD has the rechargable pack

BUT.... you can run NiMH rechagables...
Duracell makes NiMH AAA with 1000mah. These are the longest lasting (mah) RECHARGABLE NiMH batteries I have found. I have only one set but will get more. Harbor Freight has 900 mah NiMH AAA and the Energizer's are 850 mah NiMH. I prefer the Duracell and energizers.

The higher the mah rating the longer lasting the batterys are.. but dont buy cheap ones

I have used those in the past in my gps and found that the Lithium batteries last way longer than the rechargeable batteries. I'm not sure what the discharge rate is on them though.

Do you know they finally are selling the LCD BACPAC.Its about $80 but I still want.I hope it don't take up to much juice....does anyone know what a newbie has to do to post pics.Do I have to donate of something.

i have a Go Pro Hero Wide HD and i like it alot, but if i could choose things over again, i'd go with a ContourHD 720p or 1020p because they have way better sound quality (you don't have to turn your sound up to hear them) but the Go Pro usually has better video quality because the Contour's video quality is robbed by about 30% going from the camera to the computer. it is up to you whether you want better video quality (Go Pro) or better sound quality (Contour).

EDIT: i don't want to scare you away from the Contour, even though you lose some video quality when it's uploaded it is still just as good as a Go Pro, usually even better if it processes good and you give it time to upload and process correctly.

You have to upload them to a image site first, like photobucket. Then you copy the direct link for the photo and put
around the link.
