i went to kick over my blaster and something snapped. so i take the clutch case off and its the primary driven gear behind the drive gear and the basket. is this common or what went wrong? and im having trouble finding one, every one i find looks different, did they change them in different years of the blaster? does someone have a pic of it??

well no pics right now, and im not sure if the little gear is rivited to thr bigger one, i know that right now when you ingage the starter gear then that engages the idle gear but then it just spins freely doesnt engage the motor. and when i look for new a basket it is just the basket no little gears with it.

you'll need like a stock basket that has the gears on the back. the little gear is cast to the large gear, and then that's riveted to the basket. if you just buy an aftermarket billet basket, you won't get those gears

well it started on the first or second kick then the kick lever shot up and hit my foot, then nothing. is it possible that the engine rotated backwards? i think i have the stock stator and stock ignition maybe the woodruff key broke or fell out? is this a freak accident or what!

Freek had nothing to do with this! JK! I hear of those keys breaking often, I believe from parts working loose- improper torqueing. I hope that bad luck stays a way from me.
