So you have narrowed it down to 1 of 2 things, a filthy carb or an air leak, fixing it should be all down hill from here.
Actually I was texting my freind nick (braaptor) we were talking about the fact that it still spits alittle fuel out of the carb when kicking only just drips now after a few kicks. He thinks that mixed with the hard start could possibly be a broken reed pedal. I have clean the carb minus the pilot jet twice now. I don't think I can get it any cleaner. I will leak test it very soon.

Compression is awesome see no need to tear that top end off! Sorry to hear about gram, prayers for ya bro!
Thank u slick I used my boys compression tester it was kinda messed up but I'm pretty sure that was a true read. I'm gonna see my grandma today after work but after that i may pull the Reed cage off, an the carb again I'll try one more really good cleaning an check an see if any reed pedals are broken. I guess I should leak test it before I take the Reed cage off. Or maybe I'll do it after so I can make sure it's air tight after them reeds come off.

So without my permission the kid who's shed I keep it at took it apart he has no clue wtf he is doing he jus thinks he does apparat he randomly reset the carb needle by eye ( cuz u don't needa measure) cleaned it with gas. Poured straight gas down the spark plug hole tried to start it it wouldn't fire. He apparently cut the cable goon to the parking brake but he didn't seem to sure that it was the parking brake wire. He pulled the Reed cage off it does have a broken Reed pedal. But moral to the story is he called AFTER HE DID ALL THIS. An told me. I don't even know what my next move is from here I gotta access the damage an mostly likey punch this kid in his fin mouth. I'm so heated I can't even do anything till after work. This is jus what I know he did from what he told me. An starting points for damage control would be lovely

Nice of him to want to help, but what a damn tard for touchin your stuff! So he just took the carb off and reedcage? Your year doesn't have a parking brake.
An 03 has one. I'm pretty sure. No he didn't wanna help he wanted to try an prove me wrong an came up with the same thing I said. Im trying to put a pick up but it's not working in the pic section hes a dick he didn't even have enough respect to put it back together. Whatever he cut there's brake fluid under the rear caliper an on it I was so sick I left I barley inspected I had no light an I was so pissed

He didn't cut a wire he unplugged a wire going from the park brake to the harness I have the wire it was already cut tho from hon I first got it. He didn't touch the motor thank god as compression was good he removed a bunch of unneeded stuff an messed with the carb I has perfectly adjusted with the float hight there actually wasn't no damage done. He did pour un mice gas in the plug hole is there anything I should do before the first start because of that he said he didn't pour much. I havent even seen him tho his phones off an he hasn't came around. I figured out pics tho I can upload pics now!!!!!
SWEET! Well, tell him he has to help you rebuild it, then a sharp elbow just for being a richard head!
I don't even want his A couple questions in blaster forum maybe an I have the rest under control. Slick ur KOR powered right? Off hand you know how much a port job is from him. I wanna get my blaster ported an the head worked along with some suspension here this winter with my tax return an some saved money.

Figure on spending $300 +/- a little for top end including new piston, head mod, shipping.
Tell Ken what ya want to do with it he will suggest what is best for your riding skills if your not sure.
I am running a SCD ported top end with triple exhaust, KOR did the boring/chamfering and head mod, and new +3 bottom end. She is a screamer for sure! Only thing I'd like add is boysen ports, next Motor will get those and a long rod set-up, rest is all rider!
Yeah I think I read somewhere on here ken won't do the triple exhaust port right? Something about making the cylinder to weak. Idk I got a bet with the boy that took my blaster apart he thinks that a blaster can't be fast he says " it's a 13 year old girls bike" Im on a mission to prove him terribly wrong. I told him I've seen a blaster beat a 400ex he doesn't believe that tho.

Yes Ken will do triples anything YOU want! Your paying! Bring that "boy" to awks ride, see if he can hang! BTW- 1800 will make a super nice azz fast blasty! Def get shocks huge improvement!

Yes sir. My Safety equipment was not up to Par Expectially for ur moutian. Even with my injury tho it was one of the funniest rides I've been on.
