i noticed where i park my quad there is a little gas dripping from a carb overflow hose. in a 12 hour period it makes about a 4 inch puddle on the wood board it sits on. is this normal? do i need to clean my carb? thanks in advance

I'd just follow 'fed's advice and turn the gas off when you park the quad. My Banshee did the same thing, though in my case I was just too lazy to pull and fix both carbs. I'd just turn the gas off, park the 'Shee on a dirt floor, and not worry.

However, your problem may be as simple as a loose bowl drain screw. I'd check that first, and if that doesn't solve the problem, here's a little extra help:

If you clean the carb and STILL have a leak, replace your fuel bowl. People have a bad habit of overtightening the bowl drain screws, to the point that the screw distorts the seat in the bowl and you have a leak. Sometimes you can't fix it and just need a new bowl. This is what happened on my 'Shee, so I let it be.

If your sure it's coming out the overflow hose then your needle and seat are worn or your floats are set too high.
