hi guys i know you can turn gas off ..? i see the switch one says RES..then one says OFF i dont see like an ON or something wich way is the dial supposed to be pointed the dial has a long end and a stubby end wich goes where?

hit the handle with a little light sandpaper, or clean it off with brake cleaner on a rag
