Gapping

Yup, if you are gonna ride wild, on wild mods, with wild fuel, then cut the plug.

If you are more reserved, with a stockish motor. with standard fuel, don't cut the plug.

Another thing, if the centre electrode gets rounded from use, file it so the tip is flat, then re-gap.

A spark loves to fire off of a corner.
 
I have done a similar trick, not actually removing material, but bending it maybe 30 degrees. This was back when supertramp was popular!
