thats a 12volt hairdryer with wiring and connectors, and does not look as if it's rpm's increases with the motor rpm's, instead just blows constantly the same rpms

His z kept stalling and I said "I don't think that thing is built right" and he goes "nah, it's just all the aftermarket parts" and I said "mine has aftermarket parts and never stalls" and he goes "well does it have hot cams?" I am repeatedly confused by people that try to make things into something they are not. A Z400 is a dependable, good trail quad, that is slightly faster than a 400ex. Nothing more, nothing less. It's not a drag bike and has no potential to be and he certainly isn't going to be ripping around trails with forced induction very long even if he thinks he will be.

My response to him would be:
1: Do you want to drag?.......point to Banshee
2: Do you want to MX?........point to LTR450
3: Do you want to trail ride?.......point to any other 450 or a KTM 525

So why doesn't he just buy a better 4 stroke? I mean seriously.....just get a semi-newish YFZ......they don't cost that much and if you look around enough, you could break even in price. It's not like the Z400 is a bad quad. It's a damn good quad, but for the type of crap he is putting on it I can tell:
A: He's an ignorant idiot that has no clue what he's doing other than "It makes me go faster"(supposedly)
B: He thinks his Z400 will beat anything on the planet.

He probably thinks it does 100mph too. 8-|

Not being a dick here, but even then, I highly doubt you will be "riding wheelies past him". If he isn't lying with the cams and pipe and actually has it dialed in, Z400s are pretty scrappy quads and do well in the trails. Not saying you won't beat him, but I highly doubt you blow him away. You might be lucky to be pulling 35hp. Stock Z400s put out 30-33hp and you figure he has cams and a pipe and presumably has it jetted correctly....he will be right up there.
