and all i gotta do it undo the 10 or 11 nuts and it should come off right anything else that i need to no to take jug off dont wanna be surprised

all that holds the piston on the rod is a circlip at each side of the piston and a wrist pin through the center of it. Take the circlips out and push the wrist pin out. pull the piston off and watch out for the rod bearing.
sweet so will need to buy another piston and now that im at it when u rebuild your topend what all do u need cuse i might try and do it myself when it need to be done just get somebody to do whtever has to be done to jug
all you need for the top end rebuild is piston, rings, wrist pin, circlips, and rod bearing. Along with what ever cylinder work needs to be done of course. But when you do buy the piston look around because some kits come with all these and some dont, and some come with only some of these parts.
when you get around to rebuilding the top end, you will either need to measure the cylinder yourself or have someone measure it so you know what size piston to buy. And once all that is worked out and piston is on, you just squeeze the rings onto the piston and slide the jug over the piston. then slap the head on and break her in then ride her like you stole her...
fmf will drastically change the sound. And tell ken what you will be doing with the quad and what other mods you plan to do and he can tell you which port job will work best for you. And if you want to know more just ask him about redesigning your head and what it will do power wise. He could explain it way better than me...
