change everything back to the way it was and see what happens, then do one change at a time

A 48 pilot in the stock Mikuni carb?.......damn man....you have an NHRA engine on your blaster? :o

Make sure the cable is attached to the slide and working. Make sure gas is on, make sure Spark Plug connector is attached to top of plug and is clean. Not sure after that.

I have a Keihin PWk 35 quad vent air striker. The pilot jet was a 45 but I bumped it up to a 48. I was having issues at about 1/4 throttle, it wanted to cut out. At full throttle no issues. Also, I couldn't get it to idle. No matter what I did with the air screw or idle adjuster.

more than likely you needed to go down on the pilot, thats how my 34pj acted till i went down

one size down at a time till the air screw idles the highest and revs clean at under 2 turns out
more than 2 turns out...go smaller, less than 1 turn...go bigger

Thanks AWK for all your help.I:I I'll drop you a line to let you know how it goes.

i'd check the float level while your in there, i dont know the setting for a 35pwk, but it's prolly easily googled

AWK just an update. I had to order some smaller jets, but I did put the 45 back in. While it did start, it runs worse than before. It now requires a 1/4 throttle while disengaging the clutch in order to go anywhere. Also, I noticed that I had to the Air screw just about all the way out in order for it to start.

I did have an overflow problem before this whole mess started. Should I adjust the clip up or down? Pardon my ignorance. :-[
