i have a 2002 yamaha blaster and i want to put some kind of cheap front shocks on it i want to put something with a resivor on it and i no that most need either aftermarket a-arms or a dimond j customs kit but i think that i could make a kit like dimond j what would work? what would i have to do to make it work? thanks

ok first off diamond j kits suck they are just cheap metal plates that bend very easy would not reccomend them at all. you do not need aftermarket a arms for shocks. banshee front shocks will bolt right on they do not have resevoirs though. there are no shocks that have resevoirs that will bolt right on except for aftermarket shocks made for the blaster

well said but a little harsh lol......... there are in fact no shocks with "ressies" that bolt up to stock a-arms........ the banshee front shocks are much better than stock, i love mine.reps for you 14

unless u have used it, stop going by what certain people say about that kit, i have beat the sh*t out of it and..........they dont bend

where do u find those kits cheap? i think i might make some or make my a arms to fit the shocks cuz i got some friends that work on quads and i think we could make something work and still be strong enough which would be better stock honda 450r shocks or yfz 450 shocks?

i have never used honda shocks but i love the yfz shocks....and u can find the kits on ebay......lotsa guys will tell ya dont waste the money but if u are on a budget and cant afford aarms, then the kit will work just fine, the only thing i do say is get aftermarket tie rods.....the tie rod extension are junk and bend very easy

i have heard of people using ratchet straps to pull down the front so the shocks would fit......but a really bad idea, other than that i dont think so

how about using a lowering kit to fit the YFZ450 front shocks with stock components???

^ that would work, but they say its not for jumping so i would think it would be pointless to go with yfz shocks if u not gonna be m' xing type riding

would it be ok for trail riding??? thats all i do. and my front shocks are blown. and i weigh 290 lbs so i want a good upgrade without spending big cash.
