front hood fitment question....

ok so ive got a 90 blaster with the nasty square headlight up top. what im wanting to do is convert it to look like the new style blasters (03 and up) with the new hood/headlight. Question is will an 03 ^ style hood fit a early 90's style blaster?

its pretty much bolt on you have to fab a small bracket

well in my line of work im used to that kinda stuff so thatd be no big deal. my only concern was if the hood would still fit over the stock headlight like normal. Anyone know?

the stock square headlight?
or are you talking about the newerheadlight?
if so yea it will fit, might take a little bit of work but you will get it.
the bracket is fairly simple, someone sent me pics a long time ago of the install. Peice of cake!

I have the stock square headlight btw. So i'll just have to lower it and make a bracket??? Shouldn't be a big deal

Man i really need to make a thread on this.

OK first off YES it will fit. I repeat YES it will bolt right up. It will ONLY and i mean ONLY bolt up to the gas tank. Now you can leave it like this OR make a ^ style bracket with 2 legs on the side to bolt to the hood, then in the center of the ^bracket drill a hole and mount it to the tab welded on the frame, 88-02 frame. If you want to add the light simple! The light will slide onto the 4 tabs on the newer style hood. But if you hit jumps and ride hard it will fall out, so there is a hole on the back side of the light with a rubber fitting, get a bolt long enough to go through the light and through the ^ style bracket and you will be good to go!

thats cool man thanks. 4wheelers are new territory for me and this blaster I just bought needs a couple things (one of which being the hood). So since I need to get one to make it look right anyway I figured Id make it look like I want it to. Thanks again.

You said it!they will bolt right up to your gas tank. If you ride hard and you need to make a tab, no big deal.

btw you DO need the 03+ headlight asmbly to mount up to the hood if you planned on using the light in it..
