ok here is the full story i got this blaster from someone who put it toghter from a few different years i got it with 1hr on a rebuild it is ported with a tourque plate and exhaust i put about 3 hrs on it ran great never had a problem always started first kick then i rode it one day for 5 mins then let it sit came back to start it a few hr later and it ran for about 30 sec and died the plug was all wet cleaned the plug and it ran for 20 more sec and did the same thing had the carb rebuilt 3 different times it has comprssion and spark the fule mixture is good i unpluged the throttle set up from the carb and throttle and that didnt help it not sure what is causeing this it starts up and runs for the 20 to 30 sec it runs great you can rev it and everything

your problem is one of several simple things...you are jetted to rich, the plug you are using is just simply exhausted and needs to be replaced with new, the premix oil you are using is inferior in quality, or you are mixing your oil ratio to heavy try 40:1...one of these things or a combination of those this is your problem
check ur screen on the petcock, could be blocked or one of the jets is clogged, or the inlet on the carb is blocked, sounds like its simple and it sounds like ur rich, with 2 strokes u need to rejet with the weather so u can be rich one day and then ur weather changes drastically and ur lean the next...
