For Sale/Wanted rules suck

see now i feel even more like an ass for not hitting the donate button yet but my wife's alot meaner than the people on here :-) so i have to wait or give up smoking for a couple days....

give up smoking all together and you can afford another blaster in about a year lol

what do you think about the wanted section freek.i think noobs should be able to post there but not the for sale section.whats ur opinon on this

i dont see why noobs shouldnt be able to post "wanted items"....cant rip off anyone asking for parts right!....and it does keep money flowing within the forum memebrs and not going to feagay and their fees......we will see what we can do about this

I:I
I am just trying to point out what I feel is a flaw in the rules for this particular section of the forum. I agree you should have either a number of posts or be a supporting member to actually post something for sale in this section. I do not agree that someone should not be allowed to respond to one of these posts or put up a wanted post. The newbies are the ones who are going to want/need items more than a seasoned veteran or someone who is supporting because they realized how good, informative the members are. As a newbie, receiving help from the site but not able to get the parts I needed and helping another member by giving him the business seemed like a bad idea. This is a way of supporting the site members who answer all of the questions which in turn keeps the site going as well. Now that I am a supporting member maybe my opinion will mean more. Maybe this should be revisited?

Everybody entitled to an opinion! I just feel if ya have money to spend on Mods, ya surely can spend a little to keep the site up so you can buy/sell things. Glad to see your a member, and no doesn't make your opinion worth anymore or less. I apologize if I was misleading or seemed pushy. Hell I'm still "new" here!

so what if you were buying off a newbie seller, maybe buying say a set of elka's,only to wire 300 sheets to some scammer only here to take your hard earned, yes the rules can be a pain to start with but hang around ,you learn a lot more about your blaster, get to know some of the cool people on here then you can buy all the cheap used parts knowing you be safe. :D

noobs cant post in the forsale section

Newbs should not be allowed to sell. Newbs should be allowed to by from members who are selling though. Currently the restrictions prevent this. That is the issue I have with the rule.

Example Scenario:

Newb joins the forum after picking up his first blaster that doesn't run. Hits the forum, after giving some details by post 10 it is determined he needs a carb. Supporting member has a carb for sale but didn't follow the thread so he does not know newb needs one. Newb goes to the for sale section sees the carb but cannot buy because he is new. Newb goes to Ebay and buys it from DB and fixes his blaster. Someone flames newb and he never comes back. The site never got a dime and won't cuz newb is gone, the supporting member still has his carb with no use for. Everyone loses. If Newb could have bought the carb from the SM at least the site worked for the SM and he has some extra scratch to renew for another year. Site at least gets another year from the SM.

And yeah, this is just an opinion and like I said in the initial post, I am sure their is a reason for this rule, I just think this is more of a dis-service to both supporting members and non-supporting members.

but what if newb buyer said he sent the cash, good seller then sells carb and never see's carb nor money again.

there is no way of regulating who is good or bad if they are new to the site that why these rules are in place.

thats a bad idea to ship anything before u get money.....bottom line bro

This would be an example of someone making a big mistake. Never ship anything without being paid. If it is a big ticket item use Paypal or something like that so both parties are comfortable.

yup and never send ANYTHING until funds have cleared

if your a newb and you want to buy something in the fs section pm then dude

Nothing in the For Sale section was working before I paid my 10 bucks and 30 posts.

And....... since I had not paid the $10 no one wants to give you a solid answer, just pay your $10 is all you get. Example: First page of this thread.
