Does anyone know the size of bolt that goes into the foot peg.. Is it 12x1.25.... Does anyone know where to get time serts for cheap.

M10 X 1.25 bro and torque is 40 ftlbs. I have no idea about timeserts cheap. My local Napa has them and the aren't cheap.

ebay is the cheapest....slicker has the site right

timeserts aren't cheap.....but often the best repairs aren't

well after just having slick repair one for me, i found out that is a seperate piece welded onto the frame < where the pegs bolt on
and i guess it would be possible to cut/grind that off and weld a new nut in its place for the ultimate fix ??????

I had to fix one on my blaster to, and i drilled it out and taped it for a standard fine thread size..I dont remember what size i used but the drill size was just big enough to remove all the old thread... If i used a coarse thread i would of had to of drilled it out more..

Yea i guess I'll use a heli coil for the foot peg but I still need to fix my oil plug hole with the time serts.I was hoping it was the same size cause the time serts are like $85 for a kit....I can't weld on a new bolt cause its painted already and I would hate to drill a bigger hole cause I have to drill out the peg and nerf bars.Plus its good practice since I never used them before and I have to drill out the oil plug hole and I don't want to mess that up..

You still didn't fix that oil plug hole! Timeserts are 100% better, i have to say though I have had no problem with helicoil in my drain plug so far...

lol yea not yet but very soon... No one answered me if I should cut the time sert before I put it in .... I guess I'm going to have to see how deep the hole is now and cut it if I need too...

I just measure the depth of the hole on my spare case halve, that hole is 13mm deep or a hair over 1/2" They do have them in different sizes If it's too long It will be hitting the Shift drum (not good).
