I recently bought a 1994 Blasty with a FMF SST Pipe paired with a Power Core II Silencer.

Is it ok to use these together??? On Rocky Mountain ATV/MC it says to only use the SST Silencer with the SST Pipe. What would be the reason to not use them together?

Any help would be great. Thanks

From what I understand about pipe design and mufflers. It will just change the tunning of the pipe, longer for more low end, shorter for more top end. But unsure of to what extent of tuning the muffler plays in it all. Stinger size plays it's part to as well as it's length. But I'm not to familer with fmf products to know the differances between there product line. Unsure if that might shead some light on what you are asking.

dude if they fit together why bother. The pipe that fits the SST is still called the power core 2
the only difference is the end so if they fit together use it. the sst is better than the fatty so why deal with getting rid of a good pipe? silencer doesn't make a huge difference anyway so chill out man u aren't gonna hurt ur quad

theres nothing wrong with running different silencers with different headpipes. A couple people run power core 2's with more top of the line pipes. Also have heard of a couple people running fmf's with stock silencers. Your not really gonna loose any power by running the wrong silencer, most of the power comes form the head pipe itself, mostly the silencer is to quiet everything down.
