What is the average weight taken off of the flywheel for a aggressive trail built blaster?

i wouldnt go anymore then 8oz. on a trail bike,anything lighter wouldnt be suited for that type of riding.

I generally don't recommend lightening for a trail motor unless the rider is very light

Yes. The lighter the flywheel, the less weight. The less weight the faster it will spin.

but it makes it stall out easier, you have to rev higher to pull out, and it arguably lowers low end torque.

lightening the flywheel isnt gonna make it stall out easier,unless your new to shifting gears and using a clutch you wont have any probs.Look at other flywheels on other bikes,alot of them much smaller then the big blaster flywheel.For those of you who think taking 8oz. off the flywheel is to much its totally possible,ive taken up to 11.5oz with no problems

Ok so i put this flywheel on my motor do i still do a +4 timing advance?

its up to you if you wanna run 4 degrees advanced.The weight of the flywheel isnt gonna effect your ignition timing at all
