Flywheel Torque

Installed new stator and cant torque nut that holds flywheel to 54 ft lbs. Trying to hold flywheel and nut wont budge to the proper torque. Does this mean something is stripped This quad has been a nightmare! Everything that can be bad is bad. Nut feels tight just cant torque all the way. Afraid that without torqueing to speck something will go wrong. What to do?

Is the large washer under the nut?

It must be torqued to 53ft lb or you stand the chance of flywheel spin.

you need the flywheel holding tool. the two holes on the flywheel are made to have this holder on it

Yes the large washer is behind the nut. I just try to hold the flywheel and the nut wont torque. Maybe i need to buy the tool trying to use one of those rubber holding tools doesnt work. Tried a large set of pliers that resemble the holding tool. I held flywheel while girlfriend tried to torque nut wouldnt move. Seems like its on tight and flywheel is turning when i kick just cant torque to 53 lbs. This blaster has been a nightmare no spark no compression waiting on a cdi since everything else is replaced.

Cant wait to see what else is wrong after i get spark. Has fresh top end and rebuilt carb. Hoping someday ill be able to ride this piece of junk. When i get the cdi and not using a kill switch should i leave the black white wire disconnected?

what stator did you put on it?

A ratchet strap twice around the flywheel and secured to the frame will hold the flywheel still.
