Noticed when I removed flywheel that there wasn’t a spacer behind the nut.. also wasn’t getting spark.. check plug and coil, even replaced stator but noticed I didn’t have that flywheel nut spacer. I want to go through harness and make sure everything grounded. Do I need that spacer???

Yes.the facory doesn't put on unnecessary parts . especially in the engine. Yor local dealer can order one or rockymountainatvmc
Or anywhere you can get oem parts
