Hey I have blaster that is flooding out almost immediately when I try to start it...it has an fmf fatty pipe and powercore 2 silencer...mikuni after market carb( came on it when my friend bought it). A 270 main, 35 pilot, and the air screw is 1.5 turns out. I've cleaned the sh*t out of the carb and still have the same issue....my guess is the pilot jet..can anyone think of what else it could be? I would appreciate any suggestions even if you think its a very obvious thing, sometimes I look over the easy stuff. Thanks a lot.

What size carb is it? cause minkuni's 26mm came stock on all blasters. If it is stock, then that 35 is a bit rich but shouldn't be flooding it out. 32.5 is all ya really need.
Check the float level- stock is 20-21.5mm

Its not the stock mikuni...I have a stock one on mine which has a 32.5...this carb is slight bigger and it has a different style pilot jet in it...also the floats are different, they stay in the bowl when you take it off and slide up and down on two small shafts..

Hmmmmm. sounds like this girl i use to know!!!

But seriously, If it's a bigger carb for sure that main is wayyyyy to big. I'd try a smaller pilot also, if you have one, any chance you can post a pic of the carb and float assembly, I'm not sure what you have but there are a few mikuni experts on here that will chime in, may have to wait a bit till they get on but... i run all Kiehin PWK carbs

i would just search for a stock car on here or ebay....it will make your headach go away with out all the trouble

i would think a 35 pilot in a larger carb would be ok, but that main needs to drop down, sure would help to know what size it is. The main isn't gonna affect the idle. I ran a 30mm with a 70 pilot and 175 main and was waaaaaaay rich but didn't flood. I ended up with a 160 main and 48 pilot in that 30mm.
I now run a 35mm air striker and alot of engine work, I'm at 165 and a 45 pilot. so not always a larger carb a larger pilot.

im sure its a 34mm mikuni which is to big if the engine is in stock form (no porting/headwork)

If it were me and i didn't know what size the carb is, I'd measure the end of the carb (air filter side) i could probably figure it out from that.

But I'd go-32.5 pilot, and like a 200-210 main and try that oh ya needle on the third clip position to start. Then try to get your air screw adjusted, if it 1 turn or less out from all the way in go up one size on the pilot if more than 2.5 turns out then go down one size on the pilot.

If it is a 34, then the main should be around 150 and pilot should be close to 35. That's hwta i would say.
