First time on a track with the 450

haha just got the quad yesterday and today i took it to the track to see how i would do compared to how i did on the blaster and haha this thing covers for your mistakes and is super fast. I didn't do to bad considering this is my first time on a 4 stroke and first time on a 450!

i love it, there is power through out the corner even if you get into the lower rpm's it is really sick and has ton of zip

Thats the one thing that the 450s has is unlimited amounts of torque....

My buddy has an older YFZ450 and it never seems to stop pulling and it dont seem to matter what gear your in it just goes.

ya the only way it wouldn't pull is if i would stall it haha you can be in the lowest rpm's and it still pulls haha

ya you should have seen it there is a huge step up there and i really hate it haha, but my friend just got a really really nice trx 450r and this was his first time on a track with his 450 also and he hit the step up a bit fast and went about 15ft high and about 50-60 ft long and he lawn darted it was crazy and they had to take him to the hospital but he didn't break anything and the only thing wrong with the quad is the tierods

found an ltr450 locally for $2,000 looks pretty good overall condition. a little dirty on the motor with some slight rust on the lower a arm looked like the paint/coating got scraped off. thinkin I'm gonna go get it TONIGHT... can't deal with the dealership already so I'm kinda getting over the new ktm450xc and yfz450 they have... plus 2 grand less I can get me other stuff this one is bone stock, no exhaust or nerfs nothing...

wow, 1st time riding a 450... it's got power lol. actually my 1st time riding any bike with a regular clutch... fun. mine is kinda shakey feeling tho is that how they are? thinkin maybe alignment or something... it like almost feels like it swerves back and forth while riding at higher speeds on asphalt even... LTR450 ftw, figured 2 grand it's got new holeshots on back with ITPs can't go wrong so got it lol...

no i dont think they should be all shakey mine feels really smooth when riding and definetly not shakey, but maybe your not use to the power yet

no, not power, it does it even when just rolling at high speeds, like when it's slowing, atv riders I got some suggestions and the wheel at least the front left one, is bent. hoping new wheels helps a little. I'm not sure how much of it was from the wheel moving up/down it's like a 1/4" outta round if I had to make a guess... would a 1/4" make that big of a difference? I can tell when I lift the front and spin the tire it has bends... the right side may have had a little not anything like the left. didn't check the axle, I figured I already need a new airfilter and rims I wanted to stop finding stuff to fix at that point lol

thinkin hiper fronts not sure yet... may just get ITPs or Dougs. but would like something nice for sure..
