I'm not far from starting my blaster for the first time since putting in new piston and rings.. I'm praying that she starts and runs.. I just was wondering if i should have the choke open or not for the first run? I was thinkin just a little.. but wasn't sure.. Also.. in the process of doing the motor work i installed a rebuild kit for the carb. As of now the screws are pretty much bottomed out.. If some one could post me a link for jetting it.. or maybe even how many turns from the bottom they should be. Well sorry if so confusing. lol any help is help.. thanx

ok with the air screw you should bottom it and back it out 1.5 turns. just start it how you normally would, keep an eye out for any strange noises or anything, after the first couple heat cycles make sure to retorque the head and base nuts

The air screw is right near the choke lever right? I was hoping i wouldn't have to pull the float all out again and all.. I think thats where i set it from when I took out the old jets.. Thanx for the help bud.. I'm stressin over this thing.. i just want to have it run again. Just feel like i'm gonna go to kick it and I'm gonna get nothing! lol.. hope not.. Thanx again.

sh*t also.. i been told a million different things on how long i need to break the motor in for.. Some people say like 20 hours other people are tellin me 5 some say dont even worry about it.. i kinda would think it needs some time to set the rings?

well....the way i did it, i did about 2-3 idle heat cycles, then did 4 sessions of fairly easy 2-3rd gear part throttle riding.....then i went ahead and gave it hell. everything seemed fine when i just tore it down. there's a good read in the engine section on a recommended way to do it
