first ride of the year.....gone wrong!!

went out for the first ride of the year on my kx. it was going great till my front tire washed in a tight turn. i smacked a tree pretty hard. damaged my pipe and ripped my left radiator right off the bike. i hurt my leg a little bit and a knuckle on my hand.

That sucks. Fill the pipe up with water and pop in freezer, reattach radiator, drink beer for soreness. That should just about cover it

when pipe is frozen and dent pops out set it on your leg for the swelling..

Sorry to hear that. If it was me I'd pull some shine out of the freezer and pour a little on my hand to disinfect and then hold the cold jar til the swelling goes down, or I go down lol

Glad to hear you are ok Dave. Bike parts are a lot easier to replace than body parts.

thanks everyone. i didnt swell up or anything. just a bit of bruised ego more than anyrhing. the sun burn hurts more today than my beat up body. the bike parts are much cheaper to fix, thats for sure. ive put myself in the hospital before. thats never a good experiance.

I hit a tree stump on a slippery corner, about went over the bars...

Hang in there Herp, a tree walked out in front of my Son in law and he was hospitalised with a pelvis shattered in 7 places, it is wonderful how the body can repair its self.

damage report: bent and cracked pipe, bent, twisted, crushed and punctured left radiator, bent front brake cable guide, bent roost guard mount and turn signal wire ripped in two.
i fixed the guard mount and will repair the wire on less rain filled day. i need to order a new pipe and a set of radiators.
