well i just put my motor back together as i got it back from flotek today. and i go to start it, now i put on today a brand new carb, vforce reeds and wiseco piston. i have compression. the sparkplug is old im going to replace it but for now im using the old one. i kicked it over for about 5 minutes with no positive result

then i decided hmm maybe im a dumbass and hooked up the carb wrong, so i sprayed a shot of ether. same result.

then moved on to spark. did the ol screwdriver bridge test and im not getting spark.

now before getting my cylinder i did some electrical work but nothing that i can see affecting spark. i added the headlight socket (didnt have one when i got the quad) and i also cut a few wires, im not sure of the colors, but im almost 99% positive they were for the tail light which i dont have and the oil tank resevoir. this seems like a possibity but idk

im stumped and i want to fire this biotch up but now i cant. HELP!

could be chargeing coil or the spark plug coil or the ground to the spark plug coil are all the plugs off the stator plug in right it could be a bunch of things

doesnt make sense b/c it ran fine before i took the cylinder off, now it randomly doesnt work. the coil has a ground and its plugged in. all the wires are plugged into their respective receiver. i didnt touch the stator

o i got ya i though u ment u sent the engine for rebuilding i mis read u but it could be the plug rob a plug same thing off a other toy and see if it works get a br9es or a br8es

it ran fine up until the day i took it apart, that was a month ago and i havent touched it since. again, the sparkplug isnt getting a spark from the coil, its not that the spark plug is f*cked up

try a new coil or in the chargeing coil the solder can break on them take a test light if u have one and ground it then stick in the white with re tracer and the black with red tracer and seee if it lights up or do it with all if u have if no light is on when u kick it over (the wire to coil) the stator is bad then if it is not that do the same but do it out of the cdi then if that is ok its the coil

ok well i confirmed that the wires i cut were just the relay for the oil res. and the taillight which i dont have, so they have nothing to do with my no spark issue. i used a tester today and my sparkplug boot isnt getting any juice. so i guess its my coil?

yea i gotta do that. i checked the boot, had my dad hold the tester and i kicked it over 3-4 times and got nothing. i didnt think to check the coil. that will be a task for tomorow

I was also thinking, you need to make sure none of the wires you cut are touching each other or the frame. I would really take a good hard look at what you did with the harness as it was all working before you started cutting. And that stupid TORS thing they put in there is always a headache.

yea the wires are fine and tapped off. i know for a fact they are what they are. i used my clymers manual. i should have just left the wires but they were pissing me off and i have no use for them until i find a taillight but until then ill just extend them

That's it bro. I promise.
LOL.
I'm in SoCal so it's only 9:17. LOL
I think you will have a good day on Monday now.
Have a good night!
