Hi guys, I'm new here. I got injured really bad on my 2001 blaster and cant ride for atleast 9 months but I want my blaster to run like a bat outa hell when I get back on it. So this is my ? I want to turn my blaster into a drag blaster so I want an extended swingarm but I also want to ride at the local rideing spots to but have no intention on hitting tight trails, so would I still be able to play around with a +8 in swingarm or should I go with a +6 or even a +4 at the smallest. Thanks and I really like the forumI:I

See I want to dragrace it but I also want to play around with friends rideing around on open fields and suff, so would I still be able to handle good when I'm rideing with my friends with a +8 swingarm?

i am running a +6 and can't wheelie at all but might if i tried harder I guess.

Rides good around trails and hauls in a straight line. I havent had it around any really sharp turns but if one comes up a little twist of the throttle and I just swing the rear around.

Pic of the blaster with a +6 as a reference for ya.

i dont know much about drags, but do a +4 then make a simple wheelie bar that you can remove and attach easy.

maybe thats against regulations, idk, but thats what id do.

before you go building a 6' swingarm, remember that the longer the swing arm is (same thing applies to wider axles)the more area the weight of the bike is spread over. this decreases traction. this is why a lot of roundy round and TT bikes have very short swingarms.
