I still have the swingarm leftover from my 2000 part out. So I was wondering can I cut a 4 to 5 inch piece out of it, cut the one on my bike and weld the piece in?

If so where should it be cut and pieced together at so it doesn't raise or lower the back end?

I also don't know how to do it or have the tools, so what should I look at spending (a good price)?

Thanks for the help guys.

call yb he could do it for you hahaha
wouldnt you want the tubing to be a little bit bigger than the rest that way i over laps so its stronger im no expert but thats what i thought

Typically when swingarms are entended a new shock mount is welded in too. Otherwise ride height is changed

problem with the stock swinger is the steel is hella thin , so then you go extending it with thicker material and heating it up , causing warping , and since the thicker material heats at a different rate the thinner factory metal overheats , and will have a high tendency to crack and fail . Not a good idea .
