Does anyone know where to get an extended shift lever for a blaster? Or any other stock levers that are longer than blasters that fit? I can't shift all that great with boots on.

I was thinking something similar. I was thinking to cut it in half and welding it inside a pipe or square tubing the length I want. Is there any other ways though, like a stock one off another bike that's longer? Does anyone even extend their levers or am I just crazy?

Extended levers can be made but not bought. The problem with longer levers is that when you down shift, the end of the lever is closer to the ground and probly gunna bend if it catches somthing. You would be better off adjusting your stock lever up so that you can fit your boot under it better.

You think a few inches longer would be that bad? If I hit an obsticle from that then it would hit everything else underneith too.

if you take the shifter off you can rotate it up to wherever is comfortable for your riding, or file down your giant feet so they fit better

Haha, you know what they say about big feet right? I don't, what is it? Anyway, I tried adjusting it up and that works for up shifting, but then I can't keep my feet from down shifting on accident. Like I said before though, with shoes I have no problem, just in my riding boots. Maybe more practice is all I need with my boots on. Or maybe if I clip my toe nails and go down a shoe size!!!

I probably just need more practice with the boots. I only ride with shoes and Yesterday I put my boots on and up shifting was harder since my ankle doesn't move. I rode a ltr450 just fine with the room I had from the pegs to the lever. I ride with my arch on the pegs, not my toes. Maybe it's a shorter than stock shifter. Even my pit bike has more room to shift.

see..... your wearing mx boots.. i was talking with a guy about them since i tend to tweek my ankle alot riding and was lookin into boots..

he said you need to lift your leg to shift and push down with it to down shift.. not just rotate your ankle like you can in shoes or work boots

It's just the fact that with the boots it's hard to get my toes under the lever without lifting off the peg. I can wear boots on anything else I ride, it's just hard with the blaster.

I figure I'll order a stock one off ebay and mess with it and if I don't like the way it comes out I'll always have my stock one. Maybe cut it and add a couple of inches of rolled stell so it won't hang down any more than stock on the down shifts. Kinda like an arch.
